Audiovisual Installation in the Erasmus Mill - Memórias de um Velho Engenho
In the ruins of Engenho dos Erasmos, in the city of Santos - the oldest preserved physical evidence of Portuguese colonization in Brazil, whose construction dates back to 1534 - a beautiful and original audiovisual artistic installation was inaugurated using mapped projections.
Production of the Imaginary Museum and project conceived by the historian Vera Lucia Amaral Ferlini and by the architect and archaeologist Silvio Luiz Cordeiro.
Cordeiro, a specialist in historical heritage, signs the artistic direction and script. For the project, he invited artists to participate in the creative team, counting with Bijari (animations) and Felipe Julián (music).
Memórias de um Velho Engenho contributes to increase the public knowledge about these ruins, promoting new ways of appropriating historical heritage, valuing our culture through art and education.
The projection system was installed by On Projeções, synchronizing seven high resolution projectors.
