Marisa Monte – “Verdade Uma Ilusão” Tour


In the new Marisa Monte’s tour – Verdade Uma Ilusão – ON Projecoes is the audiovisual solution provider of choice.

The main stage scenery is a huge projection of art pieces from 16 artists overlapping each other creating a depth perception. The screens are placed in the proscenium, up-stage and sometimes the projection even bleeds out onto the audience area in order to create a broader image and sets a “dream like” experience for the audience.

ON is the responsible for the installation and operation of 10 Christie projectors used during the show. In some instances, the projector got a special acoustic insulation so its noise does not disturb the audience.

The front projectors are 25000 ANSI lumens and they shoot images on a screen placed at the proscenium at the beginning of the show and some 8000 ANSI lumens projectors are used to project images in a screen at rear part of the stage.

Right on top of the stage two 15000 ANSI Lumens projectors were installed at 45 degrees to project a 410 sq. ft. image onto a cyclorama. The huge geometry correction was possible due to a piece of software developed specifically for this installation.

All the projection system works with active back-up equipment, delivering maximum reliability to the installation.

As the singer performs “Verdade Uma Ilusão” (which is also the name of one of the songs) a projection is done over the singer’s body. This is only possible due to a solution designed by ON in collaboration with Emotique. A motion detector sensor reads the singer’s movements and combined with proprietary software, encodes the information sent to the projectors.

All the installation uses fiber optics in order to have the clearest video signals possible.

ON Projecoes has been the solution provider for Marisa Monte’s tours since 1994. “Cor de Rosa e Carvão/Barulhinho Bom”, “Memórias, Crônicas e Declarações de Amor” and “Infinito ao Meu Redor” were also Marisa Monte’s tours in which ON Projecoes audiovisual solutions were used.
